Prelude to Gatticus: Introduction and Setting

The first post of a blog sets the tone for the reader, the writer, and the blog itself. I say this because this if the first blog post I've posted on a blog in quite some time. I want to keep this personal, yet say what I can about what I want. So, bear with me as I try to sum up my thoughts on what I want this blog to be about.

  • I want to write about what I experience and what I have experienced with tabletop and video-gaming. I want to share experiences that I have had as a Dungeon Master as well as talk about what other games I have played and what I thought of them as well as what happened while I played them.
  • I want to write about my thoughts on game design. I want to get my ideas out, and should I start developing a game write about the process I'll go through to actually make a dream a reality.
  • I want to write to a community of readers who aren't afraid to for discussions and forums about what subjects I talk about. I want to bring forth debate and dialogue peacefully and intelligibly.
So, without further ado, I will start by talking about the current setting of my D&D campaign: Gatticus, World Without Gods.
